The beads are small decorative objects, which can be made of glass, wood, plastic, shell, pearls and even crystals in a variety of shapes and colors. The shape of the beads is usually round but of course different shapes can be made. In Macedonian culture and folklore, beads were often an integral part of the beetle, sometimes known as prop carried by the leader of the folk dance or in the Macedonian language we called it as Kjostek-Ќустек.
Today, beads are used in the production of a variety of striking jewelry, such as earrings, bracelets, necklaces, brooches, newcomers as the production of a large number of souvenirs in which the main motif is the colors of our country. Red, gold and black are the most prevalent colors of beads, and their symbolism is associated with the meanings of love, power and courage rooted in the identity of our people.
